How can I remove water marks from unsealed wood floors?

I live in a rented flat that has unsealed (parquet) wood floors. I noticed there are a couple of old grey water marks on some of the tiles. I think they were here before we moved in but I would like to try and remove them. Obviously I cannot do anything like sanding or anything as it is not my flat and I cannot afford to buy a sander but is there

Parquet flooring - varnish or stain? ?

We've got 1940's parquet wood flooring and this weekend we are going to sand it. We need to treat it after and am wondering what to put on it. Is varnish the best if so what make, or stain etc. Maybe wax? Please help we want it to look good it is a big area, one is the lounge and the other is the hallway, thanks in advance.

I have just bought meranti (type of Mahagony) recycled parquet floor which used to be the flooring in an old school. It is georgeous and I would like to use it in my bathroom too. As I said it is solid wood not engineered.I just wondering can anybody would be able to advice me using it in a bathroom? Which would be the best treatment for it
