I have a 1930's house which still retains a number of kitchen 'extension' rooms, such as a larder/pantry and boiler house. I am currently decorating them to clean them up.

Re-decorating our living room, help?

At the moment our living room is a yellowish colour, we have original stone window seats and quite large old led criss-cross windows. Our floor is oak parquet and probably needs re-varnishing soon. The room is 17 by 25 feet and at the moment has a large dark wooden dinner table at the top of the room with cream sofas and a kind of retro-ish table

Strong smell of garlic in house?

There is a really strong smell of garlic in our house at the moment. There is no furniture around the area and I have mopped and bleached the parquet flooring but to no avail. I don't cook with garlic and it's not in an area where we eat or take food.
